Sponge cupcakes filled with homemade cherry jam and topped with whipped cream. These were delicious. I decorated them with fondant flowers and butterflies and some coloured coconut.
Tip: Place the fondant decorations before you serve them otherwise they'll melt. I learnt this the hard way :-(

oh my! your cupcakes are awesome!! and i absolutely adore your pink and flowery cake. I was planning to make one for my husband on our first anniversary next week (since we didnt keep the top layer of our wedding cake). But of course my cake decorating skill level is pretty much zilch. I know you used fondant flowers with yours, do you think i can get away with using just drop flowers made from royal icing?
Hi sharyl
I m sure drop flowers will look just as nice for the cake. Happy first anniversary. :-)
Oh yum, those look good.
Oh my Goodness cakes looks welcoming and yummy. I was browsing around in the blog of urs all the cakes look delicious.
Gorgeous cupcakes as all ways! Thanks for the rose tutorial. Very helpful.
Ooh I like the look of the on at the bottom it looks delicious :).
My favourite to look at is the one with the little rose. But I think the one with the home-made cherry jam would be my favourite to eat :)
You could use any citrus soda, and replace the OJ concentrate with the same amount of any fresh citrus juice (oranges, lemons, limes, etc.)
those are so cute...i love the butterfly!! i have put fondant on hours before and not had any problems, but after about 1/2 a day they do get very soft. lovely!
Oh wow I'm going to keep coming back here for some cake decorating lessons!
