Maltese bread pudding- Pudina tal-hobz

This is the traditional Maltese bread pudding. Originally it was made to use up stale bread and sweetened with dried fruit. There are many variations. The main ingredients I used I  are stale bread, chopped walnuts, raisins, chopped candied cherries, cocoa powder, tangerine and orange zest and the most important ingredient some alcohol :) I used some vermouth and amaretto liquer.
