Mini almond cake

This is another version of the traditional almond cake. My father goes nuts for almond cake so I decided to make a small one for his birthday. This is a mini version of the normal one it's only about 6". I decorated this with flaked almonds and candied cherries on top. Delicious!

    I've always wantedt o try almond cakes!!! Believe it or not but i've never baked nuts in my cakes before!!!YOu must have many yummy traditional cakes in malta.
