Maltese bread pudding- Pudina tal-hobz
This is the traditional Maltese bread pudding. Originally it was made to use up stale bread and sweetened with dried fruit. There are many variations. The main ingredients I used I are stale bread, chopped walnuts, raisins, chopped candied cherries, cocoa powder, tangerine and orange zest and the most important ingredient some alcohol :) I used some vermouth and amaretto liquer.

breakfast oat cookies
Breakfast oat cookies
You could say these cookies are clean up cookies cause I ended up using all the bits and pieces of dried fruit and nuts I had in the pantry. I'm happy with the outcome though. These started up as breakfast cookies full of dried figs, raisins, brazil nuts, hazelnuts, almonds and raisins and just a little bit of cinnamon. These surely will deliver an energy boost you need in the morning :)

Mqaret - date squares
Mqaret are traditional pastry filled with a mixture of dates, spices, mandarin rind and anisette liquer. These are traditional pastries with a twist, I made the pastry using olive oil and baked them. Really loved them pity they're finished :(
