I especially love the white tiered cake. It's gorgeous!

Question: do you have to use dowels and cakeboards when you layer the cakes - I have a friend's wedding coming up and I'm meant to bake the cake. Yikes!

Hi dee
I didn t use any dowels for this cake since this is really small cake the bottom cake was about 5" or 6" cake. Also the cakes are not the usual cake they usually use in US. In malta the traditional wedding cake is sort of a pie. It consists of pastry filled with a mixture of almonds sugar and eggs which is than turned upside down and you decorate the pastry base. So it was quite steady and doesn t need dowels. Sorry can't help you much. Good luck for the cake Im sure you ll do a nice job. Thanks for visiting my blog :-)

Questa torta è carinissima!! Il mio inglese non è un gran che, in cucina poi si fa fatica a capirsi!! Con cos'è ricoperta?
